The Eye Cream You Have To Try

Eye creams to me have always been a product I forget to apply, I seem to buy a couple then find them practically untouched 6 months later. I'm only 20 years of age so I don't yet have wrinkles and I've never really suffered with dark circles - other than on a Monday morning. However I recently developed quite a dry under eye area, I woke up one morning with a random red mark under my eye that just became drier and drier; it was starting to cause my concealer to sit quite badly under my eyes, so I knew I had to try something.

Having heard amazing things about Kiehl's eye creams they were my first stop and without much hesitation I picked up the Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado Eye Cream. Having always been a bit fussy with eye creams I never know what to expect, nor do I ever really know if they're doing anything, but within a week the dry patch under my eye had dramatically decreased in redness and was a lot less dry. My concealer was starting to sit better and my whole under eye area felt a lot more hydrated.

The texture of the eye cream is quite strange, it has quite a thick consistency but once it's applied it doesn't really have much movement, it will spread under the eyes but won't move much further. If you're near a Kiehls counter I really recommend just trying it on your hand because it's like nothing I've ever tried before, and so heard to describe.

For £20 it's pushing it for an eye cream - lucky for me I can get it a lot cheaper at work - but for the result I've had I would have happily paid the full price to know that it's helped. I've even got my boyfriend on to it who says it helps to puff out and brighten his undereye area, but it leaves a residue - personally I think he's using too much - so to get his approval says it's great.

What are your favourite eye creams?

  1. Great post - I've heard such good things about this eye cream but never plucked up the courage to buy it because of the price!!

    1. I'd recommend asking for a sample to try out. I've had a tour of the warehouse where Kiehls products are kept and was told about 50% of products are samples, so honestly don't feel shy about asking haha, thank you! :) x

  2. My favourite eye cream that I've ever tried, I agree about the texture. It feels so creamy then goes slightly watery when put onto skin then thickens right back up into a thicker formula. Apparently the trick to using it is to run it in between your ring finger to warm it up first and then apply it that way you start that reaction before it touches your skin. It's the first eye cream I've ever finished hah xx

  3. This is the only eye cream I have ever used that has given me instant results - I am completely in love with it. Especially because in Winter I get sore and dry eyes - this does a great job off keeping that at bay!
