L'Oreal Haul and Reviews

loreal paris, loreal, infallible foundation, superliner, eyeliner, lipliner, invisible lipliner, loreal review

On a maybe not so recent trip to Boots - I'd probably say 10 weeks ago - I noticed L'Oreal Paris were on a 3 for 2 offer, now with me needing a new eyeliner and having wanted to try their new foundation for a couple of months now, I felt it was the perfect time to take advantage of the offer, whilst getting myself a little freebie!

The eyeliner of choice was the Super Liner Perfect Slim in Intense Black, an eyeliner with a relatively long nib which comes to a fine point. I'm a lover of felt tip liners, I've never really had the patience of liquid liner and I find they both provide the same outcome so why go to the effort of liquid liner? I actually really liked the eyeliner, it was really quick and easy to draw the line, and provided a really dark black liner - there's nothing worse than a liner which isn't truly black. My only problem is that it started to dry up quite quickly, I've had this about 10 weeks and it's already loosing it's intensity, but I'm now keen to try other L'Oreal liners!

It seemed like every single person in the bloggersphere had been talking about the Infallible 24H-Matte Foundation, so I was really keen to try it. The foundation is to provide a full matte coverage, but to be honest I find it to be more medium coverage and matte in just the right places. When I first used the foundation I wasn't much of a fan, but I've recently been loving it and wearing it every day. You only need a small amount to cover the face, and it works amazing with a beauty blender, I think my original problem was I was using too much so it caked up a bit. Now that it's getting cold it's a bit too matte and dry for my skin, but if you're still slightly oily through winter I imagine you'll love this.

Finally, probably the most random item L'Oreal sell, is the Le Lip Liner Magique, which is basically a clear lipliner. I love lipliners and feel they really finish off a lip look, bold lipsticks never look quite right without a lipliner in my opinion. This is one of those products you probably don't really need, but is still a helpful product to have in your stash, if you've got a bold lipstick without a matching lipliner, this should help solve any problems.

What are your favourite L'Oreal products?

  1. I have oily skin and hated the Matte Foundation. I like the idea of a clear lip liner x

  2. I have dry skin so as much as I've been dying to try this foundation, I don't think it'll sit right with me. I love the idea of the clear lip liner though. xx

  4. I really want to try the loreal foundation but wasn't sure, and now since my skin is playing up so much I need something heavier than BB cream to pretend like the blemishes aren't there ahah. And I love eyeliner so much, which kind of sucks that I can't wear it for school! Great post, however makes me want to go out and by makeup with the money I don't have.

    1. I'm thinking it's a bit of a love or hate it foundation based on some of the reviews I've read now, and lipliners are so great to have, they can act as a lipstick or under one, multitasking ;)

  7. I don't think they sell the L'Oreal lip liner in Australia and I'm a little bummed because it seems like such a brilliant idea. Have you ever tried L'Oreal mascara? They're my absolutely favourite!

    1. I've tried one which I really liked. I love Lance mascaras personally, but Loreal own them so they're probably very similar x
