Silky Skin With No Fuss | The Body Shop Beautifying Oil

The Body Shop Beautifying Oil

Despite being a massive find of taking baths and loving a bath bomb I'm the worst for nourishing my skin once I get out of the bath. I have a ridiculous amount of body butters and lotions from 3 for 2 offers or gift sets from Christmas, but I can never be bothered to actually use any. I get out of the bath and just want to get in to my pyjamas instead of standing about in the cold. I received this in the BBB Latest in Beauty Box, and honestly it was sat in my bathroom for a while, I wasn't really that interested. If you got this in the box and we're like me, you NEED to try it because this product is a revelation for anyone like me, it nourishes you but can be applied whilst still relaxing in the warm bath, it's the best of both worlds!

It's a relatively thin formulation but like a lot of oils a little goes a long way and it spreads out across the skin evenly. The first time I used it I was worried about how much I was using, it felt like I must have used half the bottle, but once I was finished and looked I'd barely made a dent in it, so it's going to last a long time despite being a small size. The product leaves a lovely feeling on the skin once it's soaked in, you get out of the bath feeling slightly oily but once you're dry you just feel nourished and silky. It leaves the skin moisturised and baby soft, a feeling which lasts for hours after.

I'm not a massive fan of the scent, I've given products of this scent a smell before and wasn't a fan of it, but to be honest that's how I feel for a lot of The Body Shop scents. I'm not sure why I don't like them because everyone loves them, but I'm only really a fan of their Christmas scents. Luckily for me the scent doesn't linger on the skin for too long, but the actual product still does. It's £9.00 for 100ml, which is quite expensive but if it's something I'm going to use I don't mind because it's better than spending £10.00 on a body butter and using it three times, however some scents are only £4.50 which is an amazing deal.

This really is a wonder product, it takes two minutes when I'm in the bath and saves me the worry of having dry skin on my body. The added bonus is that it can be used on the face and hair, but I'm personally not up for trying that. Hair oils just leave me greasy and I've already got an oil for my skin, so I don't want to mess with my face.

When I finish this I will be looking in to other scents, so if you've any favourites please let me know!
